Founded in 1921, Gibault has grown into a 126-bed residential treatment facility in Terre Haute, Indiana. In early 2023, Gibault merged with Campagna Academy in Schererville, Indiana. As of February 1, 2023, Campagna operates under the umbrella of Gibault, Inc. as a 48-bed private secure residential facility.
Gibault is a trauma informed agency and focuses on nurturing the development of children and families within their care. As a residential treatment facility, we offer a daily on grounds education experience, as well as master’s level therapists, licensed or licensed eligible therapists providing individual, group, family, or crisis therapy. Gibault maintains the client to staff ratio per state regulations and accreditations, and all staff are provided training pertaining to their role.
Gibault is an active member in the community and partners with local organizations. The support from the community has led to collaborations in fund raising for our programs and services. Our greatest support comes from our founding fathers, the Indiana Knights of Columbus, through sponsored events, donations, and financial gifts.
Gibault’s mission is to provide life-changing opportunities for children, adults, families and communities. Gibault serves our children and families through the core values of integrity, empowerment, respect, compassion, and collaboration. Through our mission and values, Gibault’s vision is a world that meets the social, intellectual, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve.
Gibault’s four-year strategic plan has four initiatives and corresponding goals to further our mission. The plan focuses on our expansion of services to Northwest Indiana, updating technology and staff training to provide more efficient services, and staff retention and recruitment. The overall goal is to continue to move forward as an organization and provide quality programs and services to at-risk youth and their families.
