Gibault's Group Home is designed for clients who have shown significant advancement in their treatment and are in need of a less restrictive environment. It also offers clients more privileges and personal freedom to pursue their social and educational interests. The clients are offered the opportunity to seek out employment.
Clients involved in the group home may have the opportunity to attend local public schools. If they do not attend public school the kids served will attend Gibault's accredited main school program on the Terre Haute Main Campus. Continuing education programs are available for clients who have obtained their high school diploma or GED.
Each client is also assigned a therapist in which individual and family therapy services are offered. The client's also attend therapy groups to address their current issues.
A client in the program receives home visits/passes more frequently or longer in duration. Clients have daily access to a telephone and are encouraged to call family members on a regular basis.
The group home is utilized as a step down program and can be referred to Gibault Children's Services directly.
