Gibault's Child and Adolescent Residential Environment (CARE) program is designed to meet the needs of males and females ages 6 to 21 in a staff-secure environment. The program focuses on five essential areas: the client's physical, educational, emotional, spiritual and social needs. The importance of the adult/child relationship is the core of Gibault's treatment philosophy. A consistent and structured environment provides a setting for clients to demonstrate newly learned behaviors. A team of professionals monitor each client's progress to ensure appropriateness, continuity, and quality of care. The treatment review team usually consists of clinical, residential, educational, medical, recreational and senior-level staff.

Gibault's clinical psychologist is on staff Monday through Friday. A psychiatrist is also available as a consultant.
A behavior management approach is used when addressing high risk behaviors and various levels of clinical groups address issues of substance abuse.
