Shelbyville Group Home-North
The Group Home will provide a 24-hour staff secure environment for males ages 8-18. Each client will be involved in a comprehensive treatment program designed to meet their emotional, physical, spiritual, educational and social needs. This home-like program is designed to offer a less restrictive environment with the length of stay depending upon the client's treatment needs.
At the tie of admission, each client will be assigned a case manager who will coordinate the client's clinical, educational and recreational programming. An Aftercare coordinator will also be assigned at the time of admission to help facilitate a successful reintegration back into the home, school and community for the client.
Educational and clinical services are provided within the local community. Clinical services, provided by a licensed mental health practitioner, include weekly individual, group therapy, and family therapy. Specialized programming, such as Community Service Projects and Community Councils is also offered to enhance each client's placement.
The Shelbyville Group Home will serve a wide range of adolescents with a variety of emotional, social and family problems. Referrals will be accepted from special education departments/cooperatives; juvenile courts/probation departments; Division of Family and Children; Department of Corrections or other similar agencies. Private referrals will be accepted in a limited basis.
