Education/Holy Cross School
Gibault's on-grounds school, Holy Cross, meets or exceeds requirements for Public Law 221 through the Department of Education and is accredited through Advanced Education formally known as North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The school operates a year-round education program for students in grades 2 through 12 and offers a half-day program in the summer.

Gibault uses an individual approach to educational program design. Rather than the traditional grade level system, clients are placed into classes based upon their ability and educational need. Classroom teachers make recommendations on level changes and develop goals for each student in their classroom. Clients who require special education services are provided case conferences to establish goals for the academic year.
Behavior, attitude, and effort are key elements to student success in the educational program. The school uses a constructive discipline program to redirect negative student behavior and attitude. The school also recognizes student effort within the grading system by awarding points for good effort, behavior, and attitude. In addition to Gibault's educational programming, credit recovery is also offered through PLATO's computer-based program.
Gibault is capable of awarding high school diplomas to students who meet all credit requirements for the Indiana Department of Education. Gibault also offers the GED program. Additional academic opportunities include public school enrollment within the Vigo County School system, enrollment at Ivy Tech State College or Indiana State University, and college correspondence course work.
Holy Cross High School is a member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA). Clients have the opportunity to participate in individual or team sports.
