The Jasper County Youth Center provides child care, preschool, and youth programs that focuses on cognitive, social, emotional, and physical experiences in a safe and positive learning environment.
Imagination Station is available to school aged children.
The parent or guardian will be enoucraged to bring the child for a tour.
Full information regarding all aspects of the program will be explained during registration. The parent or guardian must complete an enrollment packet prior to entry.
Imagination Station provides a safe and secure environment before and after school while the parents are working. Bus transportation will be proivded for each kid to and from school when needed.
Activities
Social Skills Development: Social skills education will occur on a daily basis for each child. This wil be done through a variety of activities.
Field Trips: The children will participate in regular field trips while taking part in this program.
Arts and Craftst: Children will participate in a variety of arts and crafts daily to encourage creativity in youth.
Special Events and Activities: JCYC will seek out individuals from the community to come to the center and share their talents and skills with the youth.
Homework Help: The staff is available to help assist chldren with his/her daily homework.
Imagination Station Youth Program Rates
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. We close promptly at 6:00 p.m. every night. After that, we will begin to charge a $5.00 late fee for every five (5) minutes you are late. This will be charged to your account and payment of late fees are expected within five (5) days. We also follow the Rensselaer school system for days in school, delays and cancellations.
Holidays Closed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day
No School Care: When there is no school the center is open, except for some holidays and very severe weather days (if the center will be closed or closing early, it will be announced on 97.7 FM).
